How can I live as a Christian in this corrupt world today?
How can I live as a Christian in this corrupt world today?
By asking this question, you have taken the first two steps. The first step is knowing that you are a Christian (Romans 10:9-10). Second step, know that you are different than the world, and although you are living in the world, you are NOT part of the world. (John 17:14). The third step is sanctification. Sanctification is the action of making or declaring something holy (Google Dictionary). In the Bible, "holy" (Hebrew: qodesh; Greek: hagios) fundamentally means to be set apart, separated from common use, and consecrated for a specific, divine purpose (Google AI).
This means that first, we need to establish a relationship with Jesus, second, establish relationships with other Christians, and third, let the Holy Spirit guide and direct our walk (with the Lord) in this world. As an example, a world-renowned comedian, Bob Hope, once said: “It’s as clean as one of Pat Boone’s parties.” Pat Boone was a successful actor who also proclaimed to be a Christian. Jesus Himself lived among worldly people but never sinned (Luke 5:30-32; 2 Corinthians 5:21).
