Glean from Dr. Gene’s weekly prophetic Word Picture

Prophecy is a broad term referring to anything and everything prompted by the Holy Spirit. When we share or use any of our Spiritual Gifts, we are prophesying (1 Corinthians 12:7-11). Therefore, every Christian can prophesy. This includes a “Word Picture” of encouragement.

Encouragement and exhortation are often used interchangeably. Although they have slightly different meanings, they both help build us up in our walk with the Lord. Word pictures like parables can have different meanings to each of us (Matthew 13). The Holy Spirit will reveal to each individual what He wants them to see and hear (John 16:13;1 Corinthians 2:10).

The Holy Spirit gives me, Dr. Gene, these prophetic Word Pictures weekly. The Words are meant to build up the church, which is God’s people. The Words were given for that week; however, God’s Words never expire.

Please comment and ask questions. Everyone is made unique and understands in different ways (although we have some commonalities).

We all struggle to find the answers to some questions. Because we all process things differently, other people’s opinions may not work for us.
