I saw darkness where the picture was supposed to be. The darkness panned up and down but never left long enough to get a good look at the picture. I checked whether I was looking for the picture the right way. I saw what I understood to be the mechanics (The things that made it possible for me to see the pictures), and it seemed to be all in order.
Word:
The Holy Spirit said that I was to look for the picture with the right attitude. In fact, attitude was more important than just looking for the picture. We need to search our hearts before we look for a picture or a Word. We need to come to the Lord with thanksgiving and praise, not with just a sense of duty.
Psalms 100:4, Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
Philippians 2:3-4, Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Philippians 4:4-7, Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Psalms 51:10, Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
