When we come to the Lord with questions, we need to come without any preconceived ideas. We need to come with an open heart and mind. If we ask in faith, believing, and in accordance with Luke 11:11-13, we will receive the correct answer.
Luke 11:11-13, “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
Psalms 46:10, He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalms 37:7, Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
