I will be answering questions about subjects you need an answer to. I do not claim to know everything, but I have found over the years that the Holy Spirit helps me find an answer when I need one. I have learned to trust Luke 11:11-13, which says, “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
When I come upon a question that I do not get an answer to, I check the reason for asking the question. James 4:2-3, You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet, but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. If I am asking with good motives, then I look more closely at the question itself. Am I asking the right question? We often ask questions one way, but we really need to know something else. There are so many different ways we ask wrong questions. God can see right through these types of questions. One example is that we often ask God Why did you not heal me? When we should of asked God What do You need me to do? God’s Word says if we ask in faith, believing, we will be healed in the name of Jesus. Matthew 21:22, If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” So we are healed. We just need to have patience while the healing takes place. There are so many variables that make us think we have not received an answer to our prayers. Everyone’s situation is different, so you will need to ask a specific question about your unique situation.
If you have a question you can share with everyone, please give me permission to share it. Although we are all unique, we share many commonalities. So, by sharing, you are helping others who are too shy to ask. I also have posted my confidential email if you have a question you wish to keep private. That is DrGene@thebehls.net.
