The Biblical definition of hope is the confident expectation of what God has promised. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. I like to describe Biblical hope as a realized truth. When you first realize or know without a shadow of doubt that something is true. Hope of salvation is where we know we are saved and going to heaven. Hope of eternal life, we know we will live forever with Jesus. Hope of glory, we know we will have a glorified body.
We start by believing just by faith until we have hope. When our faith becomes certain, we have hope.
